Chocolate labels

So, I made these for a chocolate shop in Leicester - the labels they had were really bad; written in gold on blue paper! Mega hard to read, even for me - and I'm young and sprightly.

I think these turned out pretty cute.
Click on the images if you want to make them bigger.

Bunny Bees

This is a story I've been working on, it's pretty surreal and very silly...but still cute. I'm not yet sure how it should end, hmmm...

Cat ACEOs

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions & Originals".
They're miniature works of art and they're an inexpensive way to buy original or limited edition art. Having seen some really beautiful ones on Etsy (www.etsy.com) I thought I would try some of my own...what do you think?

Welcome to IDOL

Welcome to IDOL is a monthly, artist-made zine which has commissioned me to design a cover for November's issue, they'll also include the very first Flimsy comic (watch this space), and in December's issue, the first dragon story (which you can see here: http://rachaelsmithillustration.blogspot.com/2008/10/dragon-story.html )

Here's my cover design:

Mew-tants

Another AMAZING (awful) comic book idea...these kittens are walking along and they stumble into some radioactive goo. It turns all their legs into new things like, one has the legs of a spider, another has a treadmill thing, one has a slug's body and one grows into a big tree in the middle of the goo and he is then King of the Mutant Kittens. And then they fight CRIME...or something.

It can be called....Mew-tants. Geddit?

So yeah, this is why I need to ALWAYS work with writers.
