Abbie

Sooo...I'm pretty rubbish at keeping my own secrets.

I have quite an exciting illustration job in the pipeline but I don't want to talk about it properly on the interwebs until contracts have been signed and whatnot. (Because it probably will fall through knowing my luck!)

But I couldn't help but share this little detail of one of the drawings. I've fallen a little bit in love with this character. She's called Abbie and she's 15 years old. She's a teeny bit emo and gloomy. But hella cute, no?

Anyway, I'll let you know if it's good news, if it isn't I'll just stay quiet and sulk for a bit. And probably dye my hair like emo-Abbie.

Pyder update

Hey guys,

I'm here with a Pyder update.

I've done four ROUGH cover illustrations for Symon, the author, to choose from.

It'd be brillzor to get YOUR feedback too though, so let me know which one you prefer!

You can either comment on this blog post or tweet me.

Warkitty!

Here's another character to add to the world Paul Banks and I invented on our recent pub trip.
Warkitty is subservient to Warbunny. And a little less angry.
He sure does love killing those mice though!!

If you missed the first Warbunny drawing then click here... OR HE'LL GET YOU!

The original pub sketch:

Jadu characters

Here are a couple of cute little character designs I did for web content management company Jadu. They will feature in a promotional booklet. The girl is a designer and the boy is a developer.
Can't wait to see the finished product :)

Warbunny!

Hey guys,
I wanted to share this character, Warbunny! He is one angry dude.
The idea for this guy came from a recent trip to the pub with the amazing designer Paul Banks.

I decided I would try to bring him to life...

Here's the sketch I did whilst in the pub:

Hopefully this isn't the last we'll see of Warbunny.

Watch this space!

Fish and Hamster card

This is the front of a card what I made for my friend David.

The fish is called Goliath and the Hamster is called Moet (based on real animals).

I might make a few more like this (but not as specific) as I kinda dig the style.
